Carrie Kei Heim, daughter of Janie and Michael Heim of Manhattan, was married early Saturday evening to Peter K. Binas, son of Marina and George Binas of Whitestone, N.Y. Father James Moskovites officiated at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in New York, and the couple exchanged vows Friday evening in a pre-ceremony presided over by the Honorable Stephen G. Crane.

Ms. Heim Binas, 31, will be keeping her name professionally. She is an attorney at Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky & Popeo, a Boston law firm. She graduated from Vassar College, and holds a second Bachelor’s degree from Hunter College. She received her J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she was an editor of the Law Review, and during which time she was a summer clerk for Judge Louis H. Pollak of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She started her law career at Cravath, Swaine and Moore in New York, then clerked for the Honorable Jeffrey R. Howard of the First Circuit Federal Court of Appeals. Prior to entering college, Ms. Heim Binas was a professional actress, starring in the 1985 feature film Santa Claus: the Movie, as well as several television shows and films, including Disney’s The Parent Trap II, and playing the title role in ABC’s Pippi Longstocking. Her father retired as Senior Vice President, International Department, at Johnson & Higgins. Her mother is a photographer.

Mr. Binas, 31, is an Associate Principal with McKinsey & Company’s Boston office, focusing on serving clients in the consumer packaged goods and retail industries on strategic and corporate finance-related topics. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from Harvard, with a joint degree in Social Studies and Economics, and also received a joint J.D./M.B.A. degree from Harvard University, where he was a Baker Scholar and again graduated magna cum laude. His father was an engineer at PSE&G, and his mother is retired from the Greek Consulate General.

The couple met in seventh grade at Hunter College High School on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. They dated on-and-off throughout junior high and high school, until Mr. Binas went abroad to Toulouse, France in their senior year. They reconnected the summer after their freshman year of college, officially reuniting on New Year’s Eve, 1993. They have been together ever since.
